SCRAPBOOKING FRIENDS WITH FLAIR FRIDAY

This is a layout I did with some photos my son got of John Glenn at the 50th anniversary celebration of his orbit around the earth.  I used this film strip stamp from the Photo Love set of stamps with Staz-On ink on a transparency to make the strip of photos on the left page.  I went crazy with my die cut machine and used the globe, sprocket, and sign die by Tim Holtz on this page as well as an embossing folder and airplane stamp that are from Tim Holtz as well.  I stitched on the left page using Bazzill In Stitches kit with some WeR metallic thread.  The effect across the bottom is with some embossing enamel and mica flakes by Stampendous.  My LSS, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks in Mineral Wells, Texas, went to a Stampendous event at the store in Corsicana and learned to do this and shared the technique with us.  I thought it kind of looked like the surface of the moon....  The paper is from Die Cuts With a View World Traveler stack.

I made this layout using Sketch #326 from Sketch Inspiration.  I used Sassafrass Lass paper and various cardstocks.  The chipboard letters are by Basic Grey and the journaling card is by 7 Gypsies.  I stamped a tree from one of Unity's kits of the month and the sock monkey from another kit of the month.  These are older kits of the month and not on the website any longer.  There are so many versatile stamps on these kits of the month....  Very happy with way this layout turned out!

Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a grab bag of Unity stamps.  I actually won for commenting a couple of weeks ago---got a huge amount of great Unity stamps.  So, you never know who is going to win!  Enjoy the rest of your hop.
