Welcome to the November/December</div>

This month we are featuring </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Unity's Angie Girls stamps (of which I own many), </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
created by Angie Blom.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I received Angie Girl Brooke,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and created an art journal page.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIKMUK81UpHhRHShpGtcAw5pQF_8allBX1WDLCJxTWUz9GzHRRPlYCVKNmyzcyG-hXp6InNGsJ4nx0WiHDazoLp6EAldG_d7R9vuBCXbi3u604g7o9l3kQCqjZCZXz7UlgFupx-FnMp1E/s1600/IMG_0176.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIKMUK81UpHhRHShpGtcAw5pQF_8allBX1WDLCJxTWUz9GzHRRPlYCVKNmyzcyG-hXp6InNGsJ4nx0WiHDazoLp6EAldG_d7R9vuBCXbi3u604g7o9l3kQCqjZCZXz7UlgFupx-FnMp1E/s1600/IMG_0176.JPG" height="400" width="327" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've always loved this quote, so</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
since my stamp featured a girl holding a glass of wine,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
it seemed the perfect blend.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the background of my journal page, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used <span style="color: lime;">Dylusions inks, Heidi Swapp Inks,</span> and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: lime;">Faber Castell gelatos</span>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the sun rays on the left I used a </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: lime;">Crafters Workshop stencil</span> with </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: lime;">Viva Decor's glitter stamp paint</span>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The text/chevron across the bottom is </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: cyan;"><span style="color: lime;">tissue paper by Hazel and Ruby</span>--</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
LOVE this stuff--you need some of this!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What looks like gold paint is actually</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Folk Art's metallic green paint.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The <span style="color: lime;">silver glitter letters</span> are </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thickers by American Crafts.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Brooke was stamped with Archival Ink</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and colored with Faber Castell colored pencils.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Y-O-U banner is from the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/love-me-love-you-love-us-smak-june-2012/">June, 2012 SMAK Kit,</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and the word cheese and the tag are from the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/you-can-do-anything/">August, 2013 SMAK Kit</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I drew the rectangle around the word cheese</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and obviously hand wrote the words on the tag. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The word some was written using another</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Crafters Workshop stencil.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The question mark is a retired Technique Tuesday stamp.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm fortunate enough to live in a town with a</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
local scrapbook store, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and everything in lime green print was purchased there. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm also very blessed to work at that store. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Art journaling is outside my comfort zone</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
but is something I'm trying to learn.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've purchased many of the Angie Girl stamps</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to use in my art journal endeavors. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Don't forget to<b> <span style="color: magenta;">leave a comment</span></b> for a chance to win</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: magenta;"><b>TWO Angie Girl stamps</b></span>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That is such an amazing prize, so</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
be sure you comment!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />Your next stop is:</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I hope you have enjoyed my week of growing in Unity as much as I have. I though I would end the week with something different. Since I've shared layouts the rest of the week, today I will share:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht2Ycum4hQutvYeroBRqVOWnzWo6Y5tYU3oAxFO_51R4hOLV99KufKWvCBOcfds2ydVFBpno-GlaedIX6cZ_pQfbqE02G6_54u4U9jwq8oKwXL0ZHs9kWTbEghfTBJYcXRmz3BYs1JDjU/s1600/IMG_1084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht2Ycum4hQutvYeroBRqVOWnzWo6Y5tYU3oAxFO_51R4hOLV99KufKWvCBOcfds2ydVFBpno-GlaedIX6cZ_pQfbqE02G6_54u4U9jwq8oKwXL0ZHs9kWTbEghfTBJYcXRmz3BYs1JDjU/s1600/IMG_1084.JPG" height="311" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the Christmas card that will be sent to our family and friends this year.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I start planning the family Christmas card almost a year in advance, when my local scrapbook store, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks, has a sale. I actually already have next year's Christmas card designed and the supplies purchased (I'm sick, I know!). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Back to the card for this year...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used paper from Echo Park, Best Creations, Wausau, and cardstock by Bazzill.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The ribbon is by May Arts and I used my copic markers to color the image. I am not an accomplished copic user, but still prefer the way they color over other markers. I used a corner chomper by We R Memory Keepers to make the decorative corners. The stamp I used is the<a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/find-the-joy/"> "Find The Joy" itty bitty</a> and I used Memento ink to stamp the image. I have wanted to use this stamp on a Christmas card ever since I bought it. I found a sentiment stamp at Cat's that went perfectly with this stamp and here we are!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thank you all for visiting my blog this week. I appreciate your kind comments more than you could possibly know. I will use random.org to choose a winner on Sunday, so check back then to see if you are the lucky winner. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for visiting for day 4 of my Growing in Unity week.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the facing page to yesterday's layout.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We went on a cruise around San Diego Bay and went under Coronado Bridge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The pictures were really fun and these 2 pages will feature those photos.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Again, I used the Carta Bella collection, "Ahoy There".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The photo mats are from Authentique, the aqua stripe paper is by Fancy Pants, bling from Queen & Co., ink is Tim Holtz distress inks by Ranger, alphabet stickers from Simple Stories, banner stickers from Carta Bella, and burlap from Canvas Corp. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On this layout, to continue the look of the facing page, I cut a strip of red burlap and </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
adhered it down the side of the long fishtail banner strip on the right side of the page.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The anchor, seashell, and starfish stamps are part of the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/beach-cottage-collection/">"Beach Cottage" co-branded set with Iron Orchid Designs, </a>the arrow in a circle stamp is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/adventure-smak-114/">January 2014 SMAK kit, "Adventure"</a>, the remember stamp is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/camera-ready-smak-214/">February 2014 SMAK kit, "Camera Ready"</a>, and the best day ever stamp is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/19026/">April 2013 SMAK kit, "Celebrate the Good Times"</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment for a
chance to win a prize from Unity. So, comment every day for more chances and good
luck. </div>

Thanks for stopping by again for my Growing in Unity week. This is one of the wonderful things about Unity Stamp Company: they are so customer oriented. They have this program where 52 of their customers are featured along with their work featuring Unity Stamps. You don't have to apply to be the guest designer, you just volunteer! Maria Levine is so sweet to organize this, and I'm sure it is not easy. So, not only does Unity have phenomenal stamps at a fantastic price, they love their customers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is another layout for our recent trip to San Diego. <br />
I again used paper
from Carta Bella's collection, "Ahoy There" along with the aqua stripe from Fancy Pants and the white cardstock from Authentique. The inks I
used are Tim Holtz's distress inks and Ranger's Archival ink. The sticker letters are from Simple Stories, I believe. I also added a small piece of red burlap from Canvas Corporation under my group of stamped images. The journaling block where I placed my title and the seashell stamp are from<a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/beach-cottage-collection/"> "The Beach Cottage Collection" a co-branded collection by Unity Stamp Company and Iron Orchid Designs</a>. If you ever need some beach themed stamps, I HIGHLY recommend this set--it is BEAUTIFUL!!! The "Never forget this day" stamp is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/19026/">April 2013 SMAK kit "Celebrate the Good Times"</a>. The map heart is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/going-places-smak-213/">"Going Places" kit, February 2013 SMAK.</a></div>

I apologize for the lateness of this post. I have had a nasty stomach bug that pretty much wiped me out! Plus, no internet access for some reason. Working on a permanent solution for that, but have solved it temporarily at least.<br />

This is the facing page to yesterday's page to complete the two page layout.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really like how this two page layout turned out even though I struggled with it for a while.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The products I used are the same: I used paper
from Carta Bella's collection, "Ahoy There" and Imaginisce's collection
"Perfect Vacation".The inks I
used are Tim Holtz's distress inks and Ranger's Archival ink. The
bling I used is by Queen & Company and the ribbon is by May
Arts. I used Tim Holtz's tiny attacher to attach the ribbon. On this page I also useed a sticker from the "Ahoy There" collection. Again, I used stamps from SMAK kits.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The film strip journal stamp and "Good Times" stamp are from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/19026/">April 2013 Kit, "Celebrate the Good Times."</a> The compass rose stamp, the destination arrow, and the here, there, everywhere stamp are all from the<a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/going-places-smak-213/"> "Going Places" February 2013 Kit.</a> </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I am really excited to once again be able to share some of my
creations using one of my favorite products, Unity stamps. I have joked
with Angela that it is pretty sad when she has a sale and there is
nothing for me to purchase since I already own it all. Although I don't actually own ALL of the Unity stamp sets, I have a HUGE collection. So, this week I am
excited to be featuring these wonderful stamps on my projects.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhclliU8X1pyTr3OijQzL0zDYVDbcbObVIvueGnYosMrOTbnF1jn2JrgFbxCN5FJN2ujC_fEHnjc13Ig3sgBRfLK_Nf5rTS-E6g0ATjDnpqlPdsEv2BaGwqpcnV040oW0U5WMNTJfGSzyM/s1600/IMG_1081.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My first project is a layout that will have some photos from our recent trip to San Diego. I used paper from Carta Bella's collection, "Ahoy There" and Imaginisce's collection "Perfect Vacation".</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The inks I used are Tim Holtz's distress inks and Ranger's Archival ink. The bling I used is by Queen & Company and the ribbon is by May Arts. I used Tim Holtz's tiny attacher to attach the ribbon to the ticket. The stamps I used are from SMAK kits, which are one of my favorite products of Unity!! "Love this day" is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/camera-ready-smak-214/">February 2014 kit, "Camera Ready"</a>. The ticket is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/going-places-smak-213/">"Going Places" February 2013 kit.</a> The "Good Times" image behind the ticket is from the <a href="http://www.unitystampco.com/shop/19026/">"Celebrate the Good Times" April 2013 kit.</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of the great things about having a stamp collection is the ability to create your own embellishments. Instead of having to purchase expensive stickers and other embellishments, I was able to create my own. I love that! Stamps aren't just for making cards...they are great for creating embellishments for scrapbook layouts. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKzwpBLZEkbfnHgGzjyDy_sm8nvUL1-SDyn7_as3LKneTybccKLQRNzcJq9hvozbPEjhSEu5N5fhARNe_25wpaTtmgeqaN_Uz41QIJSRKdW3ZmkccGcZdf608_AWl6YuZrWnWB6bJzkb4/s1600/PA090776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKzwpBLZEkbfnHgGzjyDy_sm8nvUL1-SDyn7_as3LKneTybccKLQRNzcJq9hvozbPEjhSEu5N5fhARNe_25wpaTtmgeqaN_Uz41QIJSRKdW3ZmkccGcZdf608_AWl6YuZrWnWB6bJzkb4/s1600/PA090776.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
When I was making cards the other day, I wanted to make some sympathy cards. I always struggle with making sympathy cards. I had the background paper by Basic Grey that I wanted to use, but then the challenge was to find some paper that coordinated with it since it was a weird color. This paper from last year's winter collection by Fancy Pants coordinated beautifully with it. I used some of my favorite crinkled crepe ribbon by Creative Impressions ( I think that is the brand) to give it even more color. The stamp is from<a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/bevy-of-butterflies/"> Bevy of Butterflies</a> and I used my Creative Memories circle punch. The ink I used is a Powder Puff chalk ink.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0gYNPGq6KdVfYt7OzSoyGOqUlKOtDDU6NQOdy42ZZWEmJfA7yKuYBuQjh_wlQ5UdOnIDSEROjXBIP5ucFz18DG0ldjIsPu8N7jz-TGuJFeJKTpY3nc5fa411lV7g1mB5w35zneAZ3YNg/s1600/PA090778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0gYNPGq6KdVfYt7OzSoyGOqUlKOtDDU6NQOdy42ZZWEmJfA7yKuYBuQjh_wlQ5UdOnIDSEROjXBIP5ucFz18DG0ldjIsPu8N7jz-TGuJFeJKTpY3nc5fa411lV7g1mB5w35zneAZ3YNg/s1600/PA090778.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
I also made some cards that could be sympathy or get well cards. This card used one of the BEAUTIFUL big butterfly stamps from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/butterfly-beauty/">Butterfly Beauty</a> stamp set. The background paper is from a baby collection by Little Yellow Bicycle, I think. I bought a bunch of this paper when Cat was having a big sale since the colors are fantastic, it is a varnished paper with lots of texture, plus it works for travel, ocean, and lots of things--LOVE IT! The rose paper is by My Minds Eye and the cardstock is by Bazzill. The butterfly is stamped on a scrap of paper that I had. I used a punch by Stampin Up to punch out the sentiment, which is from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/my-thoughts-are-with-you/">My Thoughts are With You</a> set. I love those sentiment collections since they are wonderful to grab when you want to make a bunch of cards.<br />

I can't believe I'm finally participating in Friends With Flair Friday. It has been too long! I spent a few days creating cards to replenish my mom's and my stash. Of course, I had to use some of the fantastic stamps that Unity has for cardmaking. To speed things along, I used sketches (card maps) by Becky Fleck - LOVE using her sketches for cards and scrapbook layouts. I made the card pictured above using a stamp from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/my-thoughts-are-with-you/">"My Thoughts are With You"</a> kit. I love the vertical sentiment! The papers are from Bella Blvd., My Minds Eye, and Jillibean Soup, with carstock by Wausau. The ribbon is by Offray. This card is simple and fun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD4Kppso1mYFK3qucqtMAcq84wynel5hTOAyA92FDdDrvHILvLSOWpPYtQBEwqqyovFq-tTZY65mbTBOsTIw2RpOrr0RObvyW8lFGuIli_sgJw8YoV_6TW0kSh5Vn8KcGmem7cc-CFoXw/s1600/PA090786.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD4Kppso1mYFK3qucqtMAcq84wynel5hTOAyA92FDdDrvHILvLSOWpPYtQBEwqqyovFq-tTZY65mbTBOsTIw2RpOrr0RObvyW8lFGuIli_sgJw8YoV_6TW0kSh5Vn8KcGmem7cc-CFoXw/s320/PA090786.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This card features a <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/candles-and-cake-wit-wisdom/">stamp</a> from one of my favorite series of stamps, "Wit and Wisdom" by Joslyn I LOVE these stamps and couldn't wait to make a card featuring one of them. The paper I used is by American Crafts, with cardstock by Bazzill and Wausau. The ribbon is by Offray The candle paper is embossed and adds some fun texture to the card. I used Archival Ink by Ranger on both cards <br />
<br />
My local scrapbook store, Cat's Creations Scrapbook in Mineral Wells, Texas, is where the majority of my supplies were purchased. The birthday papers were actually purchased when she had some sale bins full of paper. We are so blessed to have a great scrapbook store in our small town. Lots of people from the Dallas-Fort Worth area drive over to visit our wonderful store. <br />

I'm excited to finally participate in WOW Wednesday. I needed to re-stock my mom's and my card stash for a while. When Cat had her latest big sale, I grabbed some birthday paper that is perfect for making birthday cards. The paper is by American Crafts and I love how easy it was to make birthday cards with it. I made the card above without even using a stamp! The birthday candle paper is embossed and adds some fun texture to the card. The ribbon is by Offray and the cardstock is by Bazzill and Wausau. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ8JlHg9z5zuxEjVaBsgCm70K3YTqCspleJFZe8idB49RSwMSdG8axjmdygZc1wd7w0OgteQ96thyphenhyphenFoojHxlPamlJ5T7uWm3F6VbSzNgWBZ5R05n4kIAQlsbpZWeTAH1N_kpCb-zyuEmM/s1600/PA090787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZ8JlHg9z5zuxEjVaBsgCm70K3YTqCspleJFZe8idB49RSwMSdG8axjmdygZc1wd7w0OgteQ96thyphenhyphenFoojHxlPamlJ5T7uWm3F6VbSzNgWBZ5R05n4kIAQlsbpZWeTAH1N_kpCb-zyuEmM/s1600/PA090787.JPG" height="320" width="268" /></a></div>
This is more of the same paper collection. I cut around some of the balloons to make a scalloped pocket to slip the happy birthday tag inside. The stamp is by Imaginisce and is one of their "Snag Em" stamps. I used my handy dandy "We R" Corner Chomper to make my tag and the tiny attacher to attach the ribbon, which is by May Arts. The cardstock is by Wausau. <br />

This is the lapbook album that I've been working on for the past several weeks. This album was inspired by <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_P4TlkD7mA">an album</a> designed by Kathy Orta, aka Paper Phenomenon. I also used <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd5XNFirvSQ">Rachel's</a> modification of adding a chipboard cover and one inch spines. I definitely want to give credit to these ladies for coming up with the design of the structure of this album. I used a Tim Holtz die to create the cupid and heart on the front of the album I used Viva Decor "Ferro" on the heart and arrow.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkJS182IcyKRGa7IRHWbxk8aBcw8ySrBAfLofrOsE8TOh-L4oVrlGhgjrTSK8hhp4i6978r0l_c_tGENrwf8HwKtBwoRX8dQV0sYEo_ltNKC6vjc3pCczne84pVhChYGgtkoWu9iG4J-E/s1600/P6150656.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkJS182IcyKRGa7IRHWbxk8aBcw8ySrBAfLofrOsE8TOh-L4oVrlGhgjrTSK8hhp4i6978r0l_c_tGENrwf8HwKtBwoRX8dQV0sYEo_ltNKC6vjc3pCczne84pVhChYGgtkoWu9iG4J-E/s1600/P6150656.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
When you open the album, you see this page It has space for a large photograph The scrolls above and below the photo mat were made using the Viva Decor mother-of-pearl modelling paste and a stencil. The two "folders" you see peeking out of the side pocket on the left are actually mini albums:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvUm3WnGM2qkrUaVxm9Xpc2mYtmbd18_SAIBgAJ6EPb5jt1pcmYQPNmM6SNy2bUdYTxnrGxVFAT-zM4qxkW_qFfrDqW4ZvimfcQF1aar14R7H981hY72ek24gQW3tJySgYprHUss_lWI/s1600/P6150666.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvUm3WnGM2qkrUaVxm9Xpc2mYtmbd18_SAIBgAJ6EPb5jt1pcmYQPNmM6SNy2bUdYTxnrGxVFAT-zM4qxkW_qFfrDqW4ZvimfcQF1aar14R7H981hY72ek24gQW3tJySgYprHUss_lWI/s1600/P6150666.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
I made these using a Coluzzle template and blade set that I have had forever. The bottom mini album has a cascade album inside to hold lots of photos.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNGzFON1699ig7Dcf0mGoqNLkDiaINqKS98dtVBogYBRxuBwbPIqNEmGlWf9_FoSkEMyOD9KtfaFu40PKa5U5TtB6K9KV19NYwlFZQXcgnkwgtag9DB16bZIMXPUr40DqY7BTkAXXTVk4/s1600/P6150657.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNGzFON1699ig7Dcf0mGoqNLkDiaINqKS98dtVBogYBRxuBwbPIqNEmGlWf9_FoSkEMyOD9KtfaFu40PKa5U5TtB6K9KV19NYwlFZQXcgnkwgtag9DB16bZIMXPUr40DqY7BTkAXXTVk4/s1600/P6150657.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
As you "turn" the page, you come to this page, which has a place for another large photo and two more of the folder mini-albums peeking out of the pocket on the right.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCBuTvIBhgCZ-CUcLbFBOrUrnEQkheGdhqAdK9y1-59QiJCzmBKe27unmX94s3uVSzib6dCY9s_XRoEpEu6W-MIWZvHMd5dOxVAISZiz39w5AIBMQ6vIEo_tExRR0y_DCRBQRyOaJ7JPg/s1600/P6150663.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCBuTvIBhgCZ-CUcLbFBOrUrnEQkheGdhqAdK9y1-59QiJCzmBKe27unmX94s3uVSzib6dCY9s_XRoEpEu6W-MIWZvHMd5dOxVAISZiz39w5AIBMQ6vIEo_tExRR0y_DCRBQRyOaJ7JPg/s1600/P6150663.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
These mini albums were made the same way the other two mini albums were made.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0INegTv1V5_HSpKOE0iRZ5u5ML3_8byMPxRkd28Q51xdEl0vrIkiYBJDiSrcAAgQAdyNz4ZLyMbpJWE6pRYqQHEHnqgy8P_m6p9ugzKpBaJZ5yTvjd80cuOcoV8E85RAnwZBU6T-jRuw/s1600/P6150658.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0INegTv1V5_HSpKOE0iRZ5u5ML3_8byMPxRkd28Q51xdEl0vrIkiYBJDiSrcAAgQAdyNz4ZLyMbpJWE6pRYqQHEHnqgy8P_m6p9ugzKpBaJZ5yTvjd80cuOcoV8E85RAnwZBU6T-jRuw/s1600/P6150658.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
The back side of the page has another flap and some tags slid inside a pocket. The flap has a spot for another photo on it, and the tags will hold three to six photos.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinyMX7RWUe8ICanyBsHnxzRjEsgPGRq_dKE32HZdmPIfHbB6Cmwep-B7dk702b0EFwOW-HlVCiq7lcUcB4Bj273Imx_gFgUuG0H3vCVu-0wMXpwX0VuoJw0wU5jRewHfGvOxqdWBSN4XM/s1600/P6150659.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinyMX7RWUe8ICanyBsHnxzRjEsgPGRq_dKE32HZdmPIfHbB6Cmwep-B7dk702b0EFwOW-HlVCiq7lcUcB4Bj273Imx_gFgUuG0H3vCVu-0wMXpwX0VuoJw0wU5jRewHfGvOxqdWBSN4XM/s1600/P6150659.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
As you flip that page you see this flap with room for another vertical photo and it then another cascade album is revealed, as well as a spot for a "landscape" photo - there are two of these, one on each side of the album.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiufqbf5-ceuQDLIzraIaK3oCrpMzw_KbuXDELNSq0PJPHOmzJUeUcQdwjBtAP4Pcjrv4DZEpTMNV3KSWXxqITi2GPWX79f69piwIlt5jNkVaNrjP4871_gCAJfD0-akhYKpXECkoKgqMA/s1600/P6150662.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiufqbf5-ceuQDLIzraIaK3oCrpMzw_KbuXDELNSq0PJPHOmzJUeUcQdwjBtAP4Pcjrv4DZEpTMNV3KSWXxqITi2GPWX79f69piwIlt5jNkVaNrjP4871_gCAJfD0-akhYKpXECkoKgqMA/s1600/P6150662.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That flap also opens up to show more places for you to put photos.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEva5ua1KxRKpzmSzcLgKrM_BWDtd168K2nW2ImhgzSdkLmFp9Ly_74Rt5XV5KrteedMrixMylH0FQmzUVEGNL63Z5WkYswN9Ik7EZf6C-1GXoNTVpq7vjumZDrLNHabVv64bG1T6iThc/s1600/P6150664.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEva5ua1KxRKpzmSzcLgKrM_BWDtd168K2nW2ImhgzSdkLmFp9Ly_74Rt5XV5KrteedMrixMylH0FQmzUVEGNL63Z5WkYswN9Ik7EZf6C-1GXoNTVpq7vjumZDrLNHabVv64bG1T6iThc/s1600/P6150664.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is what it opens up to on the opposite side. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Paper from numerous manufacturers was used in this album. One of the things I enjoy most about scrapbooking is mixing and matching paper collections. The main collection I used was an older collection from SEI. I supplemented it with paper from My Minds Eye, Echo Park, Bazzill, Little Yellow Bicycle, Pebbles, Heidi Grace, and BoBunny. I used washi tape on the hinges inside the album and some cloth tape on the outside from Oriental Trading Company (it is similar to 7 Gypsies Gaffer tape). I used punches by McGill, EK Success, Fiskars, WeR Memory Keepers, and Martha Stewart to create some of the embellishments. There are not very many embellishments because this is a gift to a non-scrapbooker and I wanted to make it easy for them to adhere their photos. Plus, the addition of the photos will significantly increase the thickness of this album and if there are very many embellishments it would be too fat. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Several people asked me about teaching this as a class at Cat's. Cat and I talked about it and the class will be on Saturday, August 24th. I will begin working on the sample album this weekend using a current paper collection at the store. Stay tuned for more details about the class as the sample is created so that we can share photos of it and will be able to give you a price.</div>

These are my wonderful parents and they celebrated their sixtieth anniversary on May 23rd. They didn't want a big celebration, just for the family to go out to eat together. So we did just that and then went back to their house for a "speed photography" session. As you may know, my mother has been battling renal cell cancer that has metastasized to two different areas. The radiation treatments have taken a toll on her and she was not feeling well on their anniversary. We got some wonderful photos of each one of us girls (there are three of us) and our families with my parents. The dinner together and photography session only took two hours....and that included putting their living room back together since we had to rearrange it for the photographs. We were thankful that my mother was feeling better by evening, but not really very good. She had a few more bad days, but is back to feeling pretty good now. Love it when she has several good days in a row! <br />

This is the anniversary card I made for them. I used some Sizzix dies (<a href="http://www.sizzix.com/product/658035/sizzix-bigz-die-album-accordion-flip-3-d">this one</a> and <a href="http://www.sizzix.com/product/658037/sizzix-bigz-die-frame-label-bracket">this one</a>)that I purchased at my local scrapbook store, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks. Everything I used for this card was purchased there with the exception of the brads I used for the center of the flowers. The paper is from Canvas Corp. and the flowers are from Prima.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is the first panel and the stamp is from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/what-i-know-kom-811/">August, 2011 Kit of the Month</a> I love the sentiments that came in that kit! I used a Viva décor pearl pen for the swirls and some Stampendous vintage embossing powder on the sentiment. I love how their embossing powders have different colors mixed together--this had gold mixed in with the hunter green. The shimmery corners are from the 3D Glitter Stamp Paint by Viva Décor. I just got some on my finger and smeared it on the corners. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl3HRFW8sLYMq7xGBA04asbeEVElN8fjNHbfFfaO-4Dufzm29CH1fuC1uQ9ZM8A8xFOUzxTpuKS1NUFlP7JkzRsGGkxso5Voj6iUQfkVg6hY9F20RMSCKQWlid8opmaQYTMEQ4XWuvNv8/s1600/P5240559.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl3HRFW8sLYMq7xGBA04asbeEVElN8fjNHbfFfaO-4Dufzm29CH1fuC1uQ9ZM8A8xFOUzxTpuKS1NUFlP7JkzRsGGkxso5Voj6iUQfkVg6hY9F20RMSCKQWlid8opmaQYTMEQ4XWuvNv8/s1600/P5240559.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
This is the end panel and features a sentiment from a Fiskars stamp set. In case you can't read it, it says "memories are the most beautiful pictures our minds can paint and nothing can ever erase them". I thought that was a great sentiment for a sixtieth anniversary card. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

These are the center panels and I put a photo of each of us girls on them. On the back is a pocket for each of us to put a note for them. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a two page layout I did featuring my parents and using paper by Echo Park. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the left-hand page of the two page layout and I used the sketch from the Unity Stamp Company Challenge. The tape is paper tape by 7 Gypsies. The black cardstock is by WorldWin and the shimmery red cardstock is by The Paper Company and the white is from my stash. I used Adirondack, Staz-On, and Ranger inks. The banners are embossed using Stampendous shabby green embossing powder--love this stuff! The twine is the red shimmer twine from The Twinery. The vellum is from my stash. I used Glossy Accents on the word GaGa, which is what the grandkids all call my Mother. The banner and holly border stamps are from "A Simple Christmas". I used the Marah Johnson "Carnivale" alphabet set again for the word GaGa. The ruler stamp, love them/love her stamp, and the date block are all from the June 2012 SMAK kit. The heart is from "The Time is Now" kit. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the right side page. I also heat embossed the banners like I did on the other page. I also heat embossed the journaling spot using the Stampendous shabby green embossing powder. In addition to the 7 gypsies tape, I also used some Tim Holtz tape. The journaling spot stamp and the sentiment on it are from the "Throught All Time" set and the words mother, father, grandmother, and grandfather are from the "Roots and Wings" set. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm very blessed with wonderful parents and wanted to do a layout of them this past Christmas. My mother has been battling cancer and just finished radiation treatment on Wednesday for the second metastases. Hopeful that it will stay gone this time. Very thankful for the wonderful doctors and facilities at UT Southwestern. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for visiting my blog for the fourth day of Growing in Unity. I have been touched and greatly encouraged by all of your sweet comments. We sometimes struggle to use our stamps on our scrapbook layouts so that is what I focused on this week. I have a huge collection of Unity stamps and my first love is scrapbooking. By concentrating on scrapbook layouts during my Growing in Unity week, it helps me to remember to use these wonderful stamps when scrapbooking. The SMAK kits are especially wonderful to use when scrapbooking, but there are also lots of great stamps in the regular kits of the month and the various other sets of stamps. So the next time you work on a layout, challenge yourself to use at least one stamp on that layout. That is what I'm going to start doing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpikbo8fP8HhaCqU1xkdY-_tEN-GxQNkchjqkDZ9lIawqbNyrHTz4ap7BZ9asvhsS97Wt-CAjcyp1GdGlmmIlwYn-3lAyVNeGEEHFk7dKhI27SQooJnZkLDbNi-iJYpR7DN-wPyKRg5Qw/s1600/P4150367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpikbo8fP8HhaCqU1xkdY-_tEN-GxQNkchjqkDZ9lIawqbNyrHTz4ap7BZ9asvhsS97Wt-CAjcyp1GdGlmmIlwYn-3lAyVNeGEEHFk7dKhI27SQooJnZkLDbNi-iJYpR7DN-wPyKRg5Qw/s1600/P4150367.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
This is a layout I created using the first exclusive sketch that Trisha Hill created for my lss, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks. The left page is the one that actually uses the sketch and features photos of my sister's family. I used the "Grid Alpha" alphabet stamps for their name on the banner and then the family tag from the February 2012 SMAK kit. I love this Grid Alpha <span style="color: #cc0000;">(on sale this week!) </span>and love the unique look it has with the grid. The facing page is just some random Christmas photos: one of our spaghetti diner and my great nephew, Nick, enjoying his spaghetti. Then I had to snap a photo of my husband, Butch, taking an after dinner siesta. The "love it" stamp and the journaling circle stamp are from the May 2012 SMAK kit and the "I dream" stamp is from the April 2012 SMAK kit. I used Adirondack ink, the ribbon is by May Arts, the paper collection is more from the St. Nick collection by BoBunny, and the striped borer stick down the middle of the page is from Close To My Heart.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgR39EfeBrUcPez9DZ_VybNBJjuo_LkFypyJZZDvekW0mszoF41qpLKJbu02nPMt7d3WJFixmCshWihgmTzWdgxdy6LesSVvM15F49mkR1r_CXQgFGOvrDxI4WArWcVDXQ3Zu8O-ii3qA/s1600/P4150369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgR39EfeBrUcPez9DZ_VybNBJjuo_LkFypyJZZDvekW0mszoF41qpLKJbu02nPMt7d3WJFixmCshWihgmTzWdgxdy6LesSVvM15F49mkR1r_CXQgFGOvrDxI4WArWcVDXQ3Zu8O-ii3qA/s1600/P4150369.JPG" width="313" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I always make two-page layouts, so this is the facing page for the page I shared on Monday. Sergei, my son's dog, is such a sweet and cuddly dog, but sometimes he gets irritated and starts growling. He shows his teeth and growls and growls. So, I wanted to show him growling--you can see my son grinning, since we all think it is rather funny. I only used one stamp on this page, the journaling flag from the December 2011 SMAK kit. I used a red pearl pen by Viva décor for the red dots on the journaling flag and glossy accents on "Bad to the Bone" and "Cute and Cuddly" on the designer paper by Karen Foster. </div>

Thanks again for stopping by my blog. Don't forget to comment for a chance to win two itty bitty's of your choice from Unity. I will announce the winner on Monday.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by for another day of Growing in Unity. I hope you have enjoyed my projects half as much as I enjoyed creating them--so much FUN! Today, I am using a sketch from my local scrapbook store (lss), Cat's Creations Scrapbooks, and participating in <a href="http://catscreationsscrapbooks.blogspot.com/2013/04/wow-its-cats-sketch-fever.html">"Cat's Sketch Fever".</a></div>

This is a two page layout I created using BoBunny's St. Nick collection and a sketch by CatNanDo for Cat's Sketch Fever. On the left page of the layout, for Nick's name I used the Carnivale alphabet by Marah Johnson. Love this alphabet! The circle accents are from the February 2012 SMAK kit and I used Glossy Accents to make these look like epoxy accents. The ribbon the banner is hanging from is by May Arts. On the right page of the layout, the sparkly green ribbon is by May Arts and the bakers twine is by The Twinery. The special stamp is from the January 2012 SMAK kit and the tags and year tag are from the February 2012 SMAK kit. The patterned papers are all by BoBunny and the plain cardstock is by WorldWin. I used a UniBall Signo white pen for my journaling. The Adirondack and Powder Puff ink pads. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a two page layout I did of some photos my son took of John Glenn at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, at the fiftieth anniversary of John Glenn's orbit around the earth. NASA hosts Tweet-Ups (socials) and draws names from those who enter and my son was fortunate enough to have his name drawn. </div>
<br />
I used the<a href="http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/"> sketch #02 from the Unity Stamp Challenge</a> for this layout, but made it into a two page layout. My photos were bigger than the photos on the layout, so I just used two photos. The paper is from Carolee's Creations and was in a goody bag that I received at one of Cat's retreats. It was perfect for this layout! I used washi tape from Teresa Collins and My Minds Eye. The ink I used was from Stampin Up. The quote on the tag is from the "Birdie Inspiration" set of stamps and the "now and then", arrow/chevron, and number stamps are from the May 2012 SMAK kit, and the stars are from the "Stylin' Stars" kit. The title is made using some silver glitter Thickers by American Crafts. The ribbon on the tag is from my stash and I used glossy accents on the rocket to make it stand out. The cardstock is by Bazzill. <br />
<br />
I am also going to link this up to the WOW Wednesday linky party on the Cat's Creations blog. We have a linky party twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month and you have two weeks to enter for a chance to win a prize (no international winners). Since I barely made it in by the deadline for the Unity Stamp Challenge, I will also enter this in that challenge as well.<br />
<br />
Be sure you comment for a chance to win two itty bitties (your choice) from Unity and a chance to win a prize from Cat's Creations. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you love Unity as much as I do!<br />

I am really excited to have the opportunity to share some of my creations using one of my favorite products, Unity stamps. I have joked with Angela that it is pretty sad when she has a sale and there is nothing for me to purchase since I already own it all. I may not own all Unity stamps, but I do have a vast collection. So, this week I am excited to be featuring these wonderful stamps on my projects.<br />
<br />
Today, I am using sketches from my local scrapbook store (lss), Cat's Creations Scrapbooks, and participating in <a href="http://catscreationsscrapbooks.blogspot.com/2013/04/wow-its-cats-sketch-fever.html">"Cat's Sketch Fever".</a><br />

This is a layout featuring my son on his 29th birthday. The patterned paper is from the Lost and Found collection by My Minds Eye. I used Tim Holtz distress inks and the tiny attacher by Tim Holtz. The washi tape is by Teresa Collins and My Minds Eye and the glitter ribbon is by American Crafts. The shimmery paper is by WorldWin. The dotted mesh across the top is by magic mesh and the brad is by My Minds Eye. I used stamps from lots of kits: the number background and @ sign- December 2011 SMAK; airplane from October 2009 KOM; tag from the March 2012 SMAK; son of our heart from June 2012 SMAK; banner from "The Best" kit; the letters are from "Frame this Alphabet"; the number 29 from January 2012 SMAK. Bryan was deep in thought in this photo, and when I mentioned that he posed like "The Thinker" for the photos on the facing page.<br />

The paper, washi tape, and ribbons are the same as used on the other page. For the epoxy words, I used my Epiphany Crafts punch and epoxy stickers to make the custom embellishments for my page. The words are from the November 2011 SMAK kit. The journaling tag is from "The Best" kit and the months of the year are from the Simple Stories Yearography Itty Bitty. The calendar stamp is from the new IOD kit "Welcome to my Life" and the clock stamp is from the IOD kit "Time Well Spent". The words background stamp are from the December 2011 SMAK kit. I really enjoyed making these layouts. <br />

I created this layout for the sketch that Trisha from Sketch Inspiration shared exclusively with Cat's customers. This is a photo of my son and his dog, Sergei. I was excited to get to use the picture wheel die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix and combine it with the stamp by Unity. They have taken the stamp of the website since the wording on it is backwards, but I used it anyway since the print is so little and I wanted to use it on this layout. Unity will replace the stamp for me. The "Best Friend" stamp is from the May 2012 SMAK kit. This paper collection is by Karen Foster. The washi tape is by Glitz and the cardstock is from my stash. The pawprint on the twill ribbon is from a stamp from the "I Ruff You" kit. <br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win one of two prizes. You have a chance to win a prize from Unity and a prize from "Cat's Creations Scrapbooks" for Cat's Sketch Fever (no international winners, sorry!). So, comment away and good luck. <br />

This is another of the cards I made using the card bases by My Minds Eye. In addition, the paper is also by My Minds Eye. I purchased the coordinating 6 x 6 paper pad at Cat's to use with these card bases. The cake is made using a stamp by Unity. I love this cake image with the crooked layers. I paper pieced it using different sheets from the paper pad. The lacy square in the middle of the card was made using a Spellbinders pendant die--I love those things. Then I cut a strip of paper to make a "belly band" on the card. The sentiment on this card is also a Unity stamp...and after all, your birthday is supposed to be "all about you!"<br />
<br />

Today is WOW Wednesday over at Cat's Creations Scrapbooks' blog and I wanted to share an album I made for a dear friend of ours who turned 90 years old back in December. I used one of the BoBunny word albums that I had in my stash for quite some time. The paper I used is some that Cat gave us in a goody bag at the retreat (thanks, Cat!) and I combined it with some SEI paper.<br />

This a little cascading album I made after being inspired by the Heidi Swapp product. I used Tim Holtz dies for the shaped pages. LOVED how it all came together just the way I wanted it to. Fun when that happens! The paper is by SEI and American Crafts, the bling and button are by My Minds Eye, the flower is by Petaloo and the sticker flower is by Sassafrass Lass.<br />

<span id="goog_314226599"></span>I made this card for my husband's birthday yesterday. I purchased the dies from Cat's after admiring the card she made at The Collins Show this past fall. I had to get her card to see exactly how to make it. Really pretty simple to assemble once I was able to see the example closer.<br />
<br />
I used a turquoise and dark brown cardstock by Bazzill for the card. I chose the colors of the cardstock to compliment the stickers, which are by Imaginisce and Karen Foster.<br />

Here is a close-up where you can see the stickers a little closer. The last sticker by Karen Foster is one of the "lil stackers" and is very dimensional. I wish I could have taken a picture of Butch's face when he opened the card. He is planning to take it to work to display on his desk. That he loved it so much is priceless. <br />

This is a very simple card that I made using the card bases I bought from My Minds Eye. I used one of the beautiful pendant dies from Spellbinders to make the doily-like centerpiece. I cut strips of paper from the 6 x 6 pad by My Minds Eye that I purchased at Cat's Creations Scrapbooks. The stamp is from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/what-i-know-kom-811/">August 2011 Kit of the Month, "What I Know"</a>. I loved the font used on this stamp. So beautiful. I inked the die cut with a powder puff chalk ink pad. <br />

This is another card I made from the other set of card bases by My Minds Eye that I purchased. This features a tag that I made using the Fancy Tags set of dies by Spellbinders. The "live" banner/tag is from a Simple Stories itty bitty,<a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/year-o-graphy-banners/"> "Year-o-graphy Banners"</a> by Unity and the happily ever after is from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/heartfelt-sentiments/">"Heartfelt Sentiments"</a> set by Unity. I love both of these sets of stamps. The grey strip of paper is some of the embossed "Two Scoops" paper from Bazzill. I used Archival Ink by Ranger for my stamping. The heart brad is from my stash.<br />

This is the card I made for our friend up in Oklahoma City who turned ninety the weekend before Christmas. We were so pleased to be able to attend a surprise party in her honor. I used a card base by My Minds Eye and paper from a coordinating 6 x 6 pad. The stamp is by Unity and I used a UniBall white pen for the faux stitching. The scalloped square was made using a Spellbinders die.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFIVaso5MVPPGV7no-ovPEmCeTOZ6N7X592zQ4NBK7Y0R1AeP81t7RbTEZaKingody-HHHwkZxCrvnJv_E2tukIDaPTEKjdPFf-nUUnC1ELmyAI6xJtkW4MBVfzo0rUUpr1Y1NKbpFfGc/s1600/PC170141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFIVaso5MVPPGV7no-ovPEmCeTOZ6N7X592zQ4NBK7Y0R1AeP81t7RbTEZaKingody-HHHwkZxCrvnJv_E2tukIDaPTEKjdPFf-nUUnC1ELmyAI6xJtkW4MBVfzo0rUUpr1Y1NKbpFfGc/s320/PC170141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This is another card I made using the other box of card bases from My Minds Eye that I purchased. I used one of the fancy tags die from Spellbinders to create the sentiment tag and the sentiment is from a stamp by Unity. The flowers are by Petaloo---I love the packs of the assorted sizes of flowers with the rhinestones in the middle. The checked banners were made from some paper scraps and I put a row of rhinestones up at the top of them.<br />

Thanks for stopping by on this Friday before Christmas. I made some cards to give as Christmas gifts this year. I purchased some boxes of My Minds Eye card bases and then went to work dressing them up. Of course, Unity Kit of the Month stamps are fabulous for using on cards. I used some tag die from Spellbinders and a 6 x 6 paper pad from My Minds Eye to create the sentiment tag. The sentiment stamp is from the <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/all-seasons-kom-911/">September, 2011 kit of the month.</a> I love those little banner sentiments in the kit of the month. The butterfly is from a kit of the month that is no longer available, but Unity has lots of butterflies on kits that are currently available for purchase.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is another card that I made from another boxed set of My Minds Eye card bases. The script paper is from Bazzill and I used a Fiskars border punch on each side. I used another of the tag dies from Spellbinders to cut out the tag for the sentiment. The stamp is <a href="http://unitystampco.com/shop/what-i-know-kom-811/">August 2011 kit of the month</a>--love it!. I finished the card off with a couple of rhinestones. <br />

Today is WOW Wednesday over on Cat's Creations Scrapbooks blog and I actually have a project to share...YEAH!! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOI36nz68wg2UBYt5FN4d02yRfH_pRS_-kwIUcHq3UqmSaidCp4rQqqx4GNV3-QBi-vCTxVFKkZRzeiHzecDpiRpcRO4i2oZDdzXeUSEVwznVmR4mjMytnONQDgj5kdFH-IihXNa5hCAc/s1600/PC170143.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOI36nz68wg2UBYt5FN4d02yRfH_pRS_-kwIUcHq3UqmSaidCp4rQqqx4GNV3-QBi-vCTxVFKkZRzeiHzecDpiRpcRO4i2oZDdzXeUSEVwznVmR4mjMytnONQDgj5kdFH-IihXNa5hCAc/s320/PC170143.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I am making cards to fill up the card boxes I made for my mother, mother-in-law, and myself. I am using some printed card bases by My Minds Eye, which has posed a little bit of a challenge since it does limit how you use ribbon, etc. This card uses a Spellbinders frame die, which I loved. I am using a 6 x 6 pad by My Minds Eye that coordinates with these card bases. I inked around the edges with a powder puff ink pad. I used some tiny flower brads from my stash and bought some peach colored pearls by Glitz. The stamps are by Unity.<br />

This card uses another set of card bases from My Minds Eye. I used a checked scrap of paper and some washi tape for trim, along with some bling. The stamp is from Just Rite Stampers and the ink is Archival ink. I used the coordinating die from Spellbinders to die cut the stamped image. Simple, but loved the way it looks. I'm finally learning that less can be more on cards. They don't have to have so much on them and I'm much happier with the way they look. Thanks, Valerie for the inspiration!<br />
