I am now the "official" blogger for my Local Scrapbook Store, Cat's Creations Scrapbooks. I've been doing this for several months and we have a feature on Wednesdays called WOW Wednesday. It is a "linky" party/blog hop where our customers AND friends can showcase their work. A prize is given to a random participant or commenter. I am not eligible for the prize (since I do the blog), but if you comment on my blog post today, you will be in the drawing. You just never know who random.org will pick.
I had planned to do a scrapbook page for my post today, but time did not permit. I am also the historian for our local retired teachers association and was trying to get that scapbook caught up. Almost there. Since I didn't get a page done, I am going to share a couple of cards I made for Operation Write Home.
On this card I used some scraps from my scrap box. I think the polka dot paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. The ribbon was in a grab bag I purchased at Cat's and I used a punch from Stampin Up for the sentiment. The ink is Memento. I also used the threading water border punch by Fiskars. The stamps are both from Unity and part of the Happy Couple itty bitty that was a Stamp of the Week when I was a subscriber.
Same stamp set was used on this card. The background paper is an old collection from Cosmo Cricket. The rest of the ingredients for this card are the same as the one above.
We would love for you to join us every Wednesday for our WOW Wednesday blog hop. You can check out the blog here and the rules are posted each week so that eveyone remembers what they need to do.
I know my blog has been inactive for quite some time. When I took my mom for her six month c-t scan and check-up after her kidney cancer surgery, they found that the cancer had metastasized to her rib. They have since done concentrated radiation therapy on the rib and taken care of the lesion. She is doing great...just frustrated that this has happened. It definitely cramps her style! Since she is all taken care of, I am hoping to get back to creating more and posting on my blog more. Check back this Friday for a "Friends with Flair" post.
Don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize from Cat's! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

Marilyn, it's so nice to see you post YOUR creations, too! Aren't cards the best when you are short on time?! LOL I think that's why I like to make them so much - instant gratification!
So glad you are now participating! Cute cards! I need to get started on my "love/Valentine" cards for OWH!
Love your cards, Marilyn! I'm so happy that your Mom is doing better and that you can do some crafting and sharing with us too. Your cards are so cute and I love that stamped image of the couple!

Thanks, y'all! I'm looking forward to participating every week. I love this stamp set--it uses such a unique perspective.
Yeah, I'm tickled to view your blog and your fabby creations! It's great viewing different takes on the same product or item we may all own. LOVE that! :D
