GROWING IN UNITY DAY 5 & FRIENDS WITH FLAIR FRIDAY

This is a page features a photo of our local Sonic at "Happy Hour".   Time for drinks and a hamburger for my son's lunch.  I used the Polaroid stamp  from the November SMAK , kit and cut the photo out to fit in the place where a photo would be in a regular polaroid.  LOVE this stamp---it is so much fun to use.  Then I used the capture every day and the circle text stamp from the April SMAK kit--for some reason it's not on the website--just an oversight, I guess.  Anyway, I really like the way it looked down in the corner with the tissue tape by Tim Holtz.

Your comments have encouraged me so much.  I was apprehensive about sharing this album for my Growing In Unity week.  I didn't feel like it was fancy enough and wasn't sure it had enough stamping in it.  However, things have been extremely crazy around our house and this was all I had ready....so, it's what I used.  After reading the comments, it was a good decision.  Some of you have been encouraged to do a "smash" album, use your stamps in scrapbooking, and so many other things.  It has been very encouraging to me and it seems that you have been encouraged as well.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to leave a comment...they mean more than you know.

Now, for the good part.  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win two itty bitties of your choice from Unity.  And, as a bonus, you will also have a chance to win these two sets from the stamp of the week collection from me:

I will use random.org to pick the two winners and post the results Sunday night, May 13th.  Maybe 13 will be your lucky number....

Continue checking out all of the Friends with Flair goodness and check back Sunday night to see if you are one of the two lucky winners.   Have a great weekend and see you Sunday....

I am so glad you've been encouraged! It has been delightful following you! I might even get adventuresome and try to make one myself! I could still do more stamping with my scrapbooking!

You've done a great job this week! I think it gets a bit old when everyone's projects all look the same on every blog and DT. Yours is very refreshing. I am nervouse since I am the GIU gal next week. Big GULP. I have nothing ready yet. Wish me luck an dI hope to see you stop by!

I like how you just stamped in a specific area. I've never done that, and I like it.

So glad you decided to share your mini album because these stamps are just perfect for it. I love that you showed how the stamps can be an addition to your layouts, but not overpower the photos and text. Your "polaroid photo" is fabulous!

I love using stamps in mini albums. They seem less formal to me, somehow, so stamps add such fun to them. Great job!

I love your mini album. I have a smashbook, but spend too much time worrying about "perfect" when I really just need to be recording.

Awesome mini album page! That polaroid stamp is fab! I have to see if I can find some room in the budget for these SMASH kits. I think I "need" them ;) Congrats on being a GIU girl!!!
